Wed, White & Blue

Having a wedding over the holiday weekend? Welcome guests with a bang! I decorated a paint can and filled it with red, white, and blue candy. A "sweet" welcome for all of your guests.

Tea for Two

This is a thoughtful and warming gift to leave in your guests' hotel or inn to welcome them to your event. I filled two ceramic mugs with rock candy swizzle sticks and a tin of wedding tea. This would also be a fun favor for a tea themed wedding or baby shower.

Ring "Bear"er

These are two examples of fun gifts to give the littlest members of your wedding party. For the ring barer I filled a petite radio flyer wagon with a cute book, stuffed bear, snacks and fun retro toys. For the flower girl I filled a watering can with a camera, colored pencils and a rubber stamp with ink pad, all of which she can use to make a scrapbook of memories from the wedding. The green and white striped scrapbook and a book about being a flower girl are attached with a fun black and white polka dot ribbon.

Take-Out

If you are planning a destination wedding where guests will be spending an entire weekend at your venue, it is a nice gesture to leave a welcome gift in the hotel room. These over sized take-out boxes are filled with two sets of stainless steel chopsticks, cloth napkins, and fortune cookies. A single bottle of Pellegrino water and a copy of a page from Zagat's food guide with a favorite restaurant recommended by the bride and groom are also included. Guests will appreciate your attention to detail and for thinking of them on your special say.

Tee Time

Don't forget that Father's Day is this Sunday. For a fun presentation, put some of his favorite golf balls in cupcake liners and tees in a travel cup. Attach a gift certificate to his favorite links and send him off for a day of fun.

Beach Baby

This gift idea is for a baby celebrating her first birthday this summer. Pottery Barn Kids sell the most adorable petite towels. I tucked one inside a beach pail and added red and white polka dot sunglasses and a beach themed book. Sticker letters were used to personalize the shovel and bright green grosgrain ribbon tied around the handle were just the right details for this beach baby.

How does your garden grow?

Know someone that loves gardening? This bright watering can was the perfect container for a bottle of wine, two glasses with chalkboard labels, and fun zebra print cocktail napkins. Two blue butterfly cookies add a pop of color to the orange watering can and are a fun (and yummy!) addition to the gift tag.

Thanks a melon!

Want to say thank you to someone special or give a wonderful hostess gift to your best friend? How about giving her all she will need to enjoy a sweet summer cocktail. Put the ingredients for delicious frozen Watermelon Margaritas in an ice bucket: mini watermelon, some limes and a bottle of your favorite white Tequila. If you would like to make it even more special add some margarita glasses, paper cocktail napkins or a fun candle. Don't forget to attach the recipe and a note of thanks.

Eat, drink, and be married!

Looking for a creative way to invite your bridal party to a pre-wedding celebration? For a night out at the casinos or a poker game at home, fill a beer stein with playing cards, peanuts, a cigar and some chocolate poker chips. To get your bridesmaids ready for those open toe shoes treat them to a pedicure. Fill a martini glass with jelly beans and then add nail polish, foot cream and a fun nail file. A wooden cuticle stick makes a cute stirrer and a chocolate covered olive pulls the whole thing together.

Date Jar

Looking for an inexpensive gift for your loved one? How about a Date Jar. Decorate any clear jar with coupons of fun things to do together: bake cookies, go for a walk on the beach, have breakfast in bed. This makes a great gift for a first anniversary which is traditionally paper. You don't have to spend a lot of money to tell someone how much you love them.

Lettuce do Lunch

For many kids this is the last week of school. You are probably trying to think of a fun and clever gift to show your child's teacher how much you appreciate him/her. What teacher doesn't get tired of cafeteria food? Treat her to a gift certificate to a nice restaurant in the area, or invite him to join you and your child for lunch to share special memories from the year. For a fun presentation, put the gift certificate or invitation in a tiny lunchbox and attach a petite chalkboard as the gift tag. Either way, they'll love it!

Farm Favors

Looking for a fun farm themed favor for a birthday party. Red & white gingham take out boxes are the perfect container for a petite piggy bank and chocolates shaped like copper pennies.
